Moringa School is a growth stage start-up. We are constantly iterating our model, our product offering & our target market. For instance, we are consistently launching new courses in existing markets. Our Learning, Classroom & Curriculum teams are expanding as we design new curriculum material & expand our student base.
Another example could be that we are testing our model in new geographies (from Ghana, West Africa to Pakistan, East Asia to Rwanda, East Africa). To this end, our marketing, growth & infrastructure teams are expanding to pilot these models.
In a nutshell, Moringa is growing in all capacities. More specifically, we are consistently looking for new talent to join our team. The Outcomes Lead will be leading the end to end graduate recruitment process and acquisition of hiring partners for each of our verticals. Your work will be impactful both internally & externally.
Set up a counselling program/structure for Access students and assist in solidifying the psycho-social aspects of the Access Program Vet and ensure that the psycho-social support system designed by the Access team is robust enough to support Access students through the program and eventually get the students placed in the respective available jobs
Fit a counseling program/schedule into the Access program that works well with the student class schedule Provide individual and/or group counseling to students based on the identified concerns and needs Consult and collaborate effectively with technical mentors and other educational/community stakeholders regarding students with the identified concerns and needs Implement an effective referral and follow-up process Accurately and appropriately use the designed assessment procedures for determining and structuring individual and/or group counseling services Assists technical mentors and other stakeholders in interpreting and understanding student data Work with the various education stakeholders to assists in designing strategies to improve the learning conditions Maintain confidential case files/records for all students obtaining counselling Liaise, where appropriate and with the studentrquote s consent, with members of staff Maintain own professional development and update knowledge and awareness through continuing professional development. Prepare a monthly report on the use of the service and the types of issues being presented

Bachelor degree in Psychology, Sociology, Community Development or any related field MA degree in Counseling preferred 3+ years of proven full-time working experience with low income students/ populations within a school setting is a strong component to this role Ability to respond effectively to the needs (social, emotional, learning and/or behavioural) of low income/ disadvantaged youth and helping them make healthy decisions Working knowledge of various counseling models, practices and resources Engaging interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills Advocacy skills Integrity and professionalism Ability to collect and analyse data Computer literacy Sound judgement and emotional intelligence
